Mohammed Fazal Extends with Nordic United Despite Document Issues
Pakistani left-back Mohammed Fazal has signed a contract extension with Nordic United FC, reinforcing the club’s trust in the 23-year-old as they prepare for life in the Superettan after securing promotion. The team is set to kick off their campaign on 5th April.
The renewal process took longer than expected due to document complications related to his Danish and Pakistani nationality. As reported, “It took longer than it needed to, he had a bit of a visa problem in Denmark,” which delayed the final steps of the agreement. Because of these issues, Fazal also missed a few recent pre-season matches. The situation has now been resolved, and his extension is officially completed.
Last season, Fazal made 20 appearances and showed his versatility. Although naturally a left-back, he was deployed at centre-back and occasionally on the wings, especially with Aziz Harabi starting regularly at left-back.
With regular left-back Aziz Harabi now being linked with moves away to other clubs, Fazal could have a strong opportunity to establish himself consistently in his preferred position .
