Pakistan Defender Mohib Ullah Afridi Signs with Bhutanese Champions Paro FC
Pakistani centre-back Mohib Ullah Afridi has officially signed with Bhutanese champions Paro FC. Afridi, who cemented his place as a core defensive pillar under national team head coach Nolberto Solano, brings solid international experience to the club's backline.
The transfer is a strategic move for the reigning Bhutan Premier League champions. Valued at €50,000, Mohib's arrival boosts Paro FC's total squad market value to €260,000. The club is actively reinforcing its roster as they prepare for the highly anticipated AFC Challenge League qualifiers scheduled for August 12.
Mohib is part of a growing South Asian contingent making the move to Bhutan. He links up with fellow Pakistani international Mamoon Moosa Khan, who has already signed with the club, while national team forward Tufail Shinwari is also reportedly close to finalizing a deal.
Paro FC isn't stopping there; they are also set to add Bangladesh diaspora player Tariq Kazi to their ranks. With the new league season approaching, these targeted signings are designed to build a squad capable of defending their domestic title and competing on the continental stage.
The Bhutan Premier League starts on May 11 with Paro FC's opening match. You can watch the games live on the Bhutan Football YouTube channel.
